THREE THREADS
A collaboration between Megan Saunders, Liz lake and Clare Mason.
Three threads began
with a month long exploration of the relationship between our individual
practices of dance, writing and printmaking. The only communication we had during this period was in the
virtual online space as we uploaded responses to each other’s work daily,
mostly in the form of our chosen discipline while located in three different countries. Throughout this period we
developed a sense of our common interests and a shared direction as well as reoccurring disagreements. Since returning to meet in actual space we have developed our thinking around this process and attempt to manifest it into various contexts.

MONDAY 4TH – SUNDAY 10TH APRIL 2011 MON 4th - MAKING MOVING SPACES 12-8pm Join us to contribute to the creation of a dance film capturing a
specific space and moment through human activity. TUE 5th - FILM NIGHT 7pm A selection of movement based shorts followed by Daisies (Sedmikrásky) - 1966 surrealist film that follows two
teenage girls engaging in strange pranks as acts of rebellion against the
world in which they live. SAT 9TH - PERFORMANCE NIGHT – Help us transform the world of the gallery into a theatre and enjoy an
evening of performance. Activity from 6pm, curtains open at 7pm. SUN 10TH – DROP IN WORKSHOP 1-6PM Building, recording and sharing stories through the body and mark
making. YOUR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IS WELCOMED THROUGHOUT THE WEEK.
